Bridging circularity and operational feasibility in the EU construction and demolition sector

The construction and demolition (C&D) sector has a significant environmental footprint, generating almost 40% of all waste in volume and accounting for 12% of all EU-level greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions[1]. Despite the substantial volume of waste, economic and non-economic barriers still hinder the sector’s shift towards greater circularity.
EuRIC has released a position paper with recommendations on how to bridge circularity and operational feasibility in the EU construction and demolition sector.
